annaI am an industrial engineer interested in water&energy, international development and social entrepreneurship.

Currently, I am a water & energy technical specialist  consultant for the World Bank, working on the Thirsty Energy initiative. Before that I was a research assistant at the MIT Energy Initiative, focusing my research on the water requirements of electricity generation. I have also worked in the Technical Operations Division of AGBAR, a leading company in the water cycle business, where I participated in projects to coordinate and manage global operations, and in Evalueserve India, where I worked as a Business Research Analyst.

I received my M.S. in Technology and Policy (Engineering Systems Division) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and my degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in Spain. I have been involved in projects on water and energy issues and social entrepreneurship in several countries including Sierra Leone, India, Bangladesh, Morocco, South Africa, China and Spain. I also enjoy working in international environments and I have lived in 5 different countries in the past 8 years. I am a native Spanish and Catalan speaker, fluent in English (full professional proficiency) and Italian (professional working proficiency) and trying to learn Dutch. I enjoy doing yoga, taking pictures when I travel, playing the guitar, hiking and cycling, among others.
